Holistic Feng Shui for a New Airbnb—Activating the Relationship Bagua
In Holistic Feng Shui the relationship bagua is located in the far-right corner of your home.
Recently I had the pleasure of using Holistic Feng for a new North Carolina Airbnb a couple was launching in a new town. They wanted to use Holistic Feng Shui to create an environment where the guests would feel less stress and tension and instead feel more ease and enjoyment during their stay in their Airbnb.
Many guests who visit this town, which is a large retirement community, will be looking to move/relocate into the area and we all know at times this sort of visit can create friction, which we hope to alleviate.
When working in spaces such as an Airbnb where you want the space to feel more neutral to the guests, I avoid using the following:
personal photos,
bright colors,
artwork or artifacts that would be meaningful to the owners of the Airbnb, but not the guests.
When the space feels more neutral to guests, the guest themselves will be more relaxed and at ease.
Always keep in mind when decorating for an Airbnb that lighter color walls, neutral colors like warm whites, beiges, grays produce a more soothing environment vs. bright blues, reds, greens.
I prefer to bring those colors in to activate baguas through throw pillows and blankets, crystals, plants or items that can easily be swapped out.
how I went about activating the relationship bagua of this Airbnb
First, I lined up the bagua map with the front door and determined that the far right kitchen corner was where the relationship bagua was located.
I then ensured the area was free from any clutter and spotlessly clean.
I chose to use a plant with a large heart shaped leaf as the focal point. I then used a heart shaped rose quartz crystal and placed it in the soil of the plant (plants LOVE this). I also placed a rose quartz point next to the plant.
While I placed these items in the space, I envisioned guests engaging in positive relationships with whomever they were traveling with during their stay, and whomever they met while visiting the area. I also requested the owners hold the same vision for their guests.
The intent behind the placement of items is KEY in Holistic Feng Shui. The energy you direct and infuse in the items that are placed in the respective bagua holds the vibration you wish for guests to experience.
